It is that time of
the year again to get out the "Barbie" invite some friends
over and enjoy the outdoors.
More and more we are
creating patios as extensions of our living areas and as such
like to incorporate and furnish these areas for relaxation and/or
entertaining.
|
On this patio we used Bradstone "Old Town" Flagstones
and Balustrading from Corinthian Stone. The look is elegant
without being overly formal.
See how we spruced
up this patio with pots from "Poterie
Clarous"

A Chiminea adds a nice
focal point as well as adding a little heat on cooler nights.
These have been very
popular and it is easy to see why. We have choose the cast iron
chiminea from Glo-Art.
The chimeneas at Glo-Art
can be used as barbecues, ovens, smokers and grills, as well as
patio heaters. Indoor use is also possible. All their clay chimeneas
burn logs or charcoal. The Cast-Iron chims will also burn smokeless
Coalite.

What's better than
having friends and family over on a beautiful summer evening and
grilling out?
With Outback's Australian-style
grill, they come with Porcelain Enamelled Grills and Griddles,
eliminating forever the rust problems associated with standard
cast iron.

Using
the patio as an extension of your living area you will want to
furnish it with nice pieces which brings everything together.
|
The
patio enjoys great views
|
Here
we have utilised an eight seat extending table from Roy Firman Ltd.
The furniture is made out of Yellow Balau. This is an excellent
mid-range outdoor furniture set. |

For other times when
you want to chill with some friends or by yourself being by
a pond is very tranquil. Here we designed a pond and added a
waterfall, deck and Jagram swing, loungers, bridge and pavillion
which enhanced the setting as well as taking advantage of the
views.
|
We added a the Finnforest
"Talo" Summerhouse to the garden situated in the orchard
(still has the views) which has a seperate section for all the
gardening tools.
This offers an excellent
retreat or studio/office.
