This is a rough sketch of the way we are going to layout the rear garden.
Our project garden slopes away from the house at the rear.
We are wanting to combine some formal and informal features that will take advantage of the views and provide an living extension for outdoor entertaining.
Due to the slope of the garden we are going to use a combination of block and brick for the upper retaining walls and sleepers for he lower retaining walls. This way we can terrace the garden in different levels for different usage's.
The upper patio terrace for outdoor entertaining and the lower patio terrace for lounging.
The upper lawn will be for viewing, playing, etc. and the lower garden for growing fruit, vegetable, flowers, etc.
